The Best Day of School

In elementary school, the best day of school ever was Field Day.  For sure!

And for a kid like Owen, it's just the best thing since sliced bread.  He loves to be outside anyway so for him, it's a can't miss day of school.

Owen and his teacher, Mrs. Lowery.  Best.  Teacher.  Evar.

One of my friends.  He's a little over the top with videoing his kids.  LOL!

Owen's best friend's mom doing what moms do.  Consoling him on his loss.

Listening for instructions.

"Discus" throwing.  :p

Owen may have awesome eye/hand coordination.  Jump roping coordination?  Not so much!  LOL!

Super Boy!

Everyone loves the potato sack race!

Man down!

Just what Owen needs.  Something to make him dizzy and not see correctly.  LOL!

Tug-o-War...always a favorite!

I think he likes to fall on purpose.  :p

His class.

The two legged race with his best friend.  :)

Man down!  Again!  Lots of these types of pics.  I only posted a few.  :p

Owen and his BFF Ky.  Owen met him at the Y last summer.  The first day of summer this year, he wore the same jersey to the kids gym as the first day that he met Ky because he knew that Ky was going to be there and he wanted to celebrate the day he met his BFF by wearing the same outfit.  How in the heck he remembers that, I'll never know!

Looks fun, no?  As I said...no kid wants to miss field day!  It's the best day of the year.  :)

Aw. Baby Love.

I was uploading a picture to my photobucket account and came across this video.

Aw.  It's little Mary Mac as a baby.

What a cute little stinker!

Not Me!

There is a child living in our house who we never see but is for sure a part of this family just the same as the ones that I pick up after every single day of my life.

I'm not sure if that child is a boy or a girl but I definitely know it's name.

"NOT ME."

That's right.

That child's name is NOT ME.

And "NOT ME" did something that I never thought I'd see after the children were out of drawing with crayons age.

He/she/it drew on my kitchen wall.

That's right.

With a pen.

And what did "NOT ME" draw?  Shane's name.  And a penis.

Yes.  That's right.  A penis.

That wasn't a typo.

Both living children in the house claimed that it was "NOT ME" as they giggled hysterically.

And I believe them.

They both looked really surprised.

I think that one of their friends did it.

So now their friends are banned from coming over.

And thank God for Magic Eraser.  Otherwise, I'd have a new piece of artwork on my kitchen wall.

And no one wants a penis drawing on their kitchen wall.

And if they do, I don't want to meet them!

Let's chalk this up to yet another thing that I didn't think that I'd ever blog about!

Meh.

All In One Week

All in one recent week, Shane:

1.  Stated that he was going to dress better next year instead of wearing all sweat pants and baggy shorts.

2.  Said that he wanted to wear contacts.

3.  Said that he needed braces.

4.  Asked his dad for his cologne.  At least it wasn't the Axe.  :p

5.  Proudly showed us his underarm hair.

Ugh.  Here we go!

Traumatized

I asked Owen how his day was yesterday, expecting that it would be phenomenal since it's the last week of school and all the testing is over.

Imagine my surprise when he said that it was the WORST DAY EVER.

When I asked him why, he replied in a VERY exasperated way that it was his first family life class and it was just horrible.  He said that he learned about things that no kid his age should know about.  He was referring to what a boys private part looks like inside.  LOL!

He continued on to say that THANK GOD THEY DIDN'T HAVE TO SEE WHAT A GIRL'S PRIVATE INSIDES LOOK LIKE!

He said he was traumatized.

LOL!  I love him.
